The packaging specialist from the Murg valley supports the Evangelische Mädchenheim e.V. in Gernsbach with the proceeds from the sale of its cardboard school satchels. The idea came to the employees at the last family party of the Baden Board. The cardboard satchel was a hit there! With colourful stickers and their own paintings, young and old created the alternative to the school bag as an impressive work of art. At the beginning of this year’s school year, creative things were combined with a good cause and one contribution per satchel flowed into the Baden Board GmbH donation box. The donation amount was handed over on 30.10.2019 to Mrs. Zächelein, head of the facility and managing director, and Mr. Schmidt, chairman of the board of directors.
“We are very pleased that there are people who support us in our work. Our thanks go to our colleagues on the Baden Board, who actively support our girls with their contributions,” said Mr Schmidt. With the donation to the girls’ home in Gernsbach, the Baden Board underlines the importance of promoting young talent at all stages of development. The company itself also offers young talents an attractive environment. At this year’s start of training on September 2, 2019, the Baden Board welcomed 10 new talents in 6 different training occupations and a dual course of study. Stefan Böll, Managing Director and CFO, underlines the great importance of training at Baden Board: “Part of our comprehensive sustainability concept is that we offer young people the space and opportunity to develop themselves further and to integrate seamlessly into our society. We have always focused on the training and continued employment of young people”.
Baden Board GmbH, with its two divisions of cardboard and packaging, is one of the most diverse training companies in the Murgtal valley. The company’s trade fair stand was voted second among all suppliers by visitors to the last training fair in Gernsbach – directly after Daimler. More than 300 employees work together on the development and manufacture of sustainable packaging solutions. A total of 9 training occupations from two industries are offered under one roof.
